Plaintiff Peter Daza, who is Hispanic, Native American, and over the age of forty, worked as a geologist for the State of Indiana Department of Transportation ("INDOT") from 1993 until his termination in 2015. Mr. Daza initiated this lawsuit in 2017, alleging that he was discriminated against based on his race, color, age, and "political speech and association," and that his termination was in retaliation for complaining about discrimination and exercising his right to free speech and political association.
