Appellees, C. H. Anderson and .his wife, Laura Anderson, negroes, instituted this suit against appellant, alleging that on or about the 24th day of May, 1927, the wife was a passenger on appellant’s train being operated between Houston and Shreveport ; that she duly purchased the ticket required of her for this transportation, and, on boarding the train, delivered her ticket to the conductor; that the conductor after-wards, while she was a passenger on the train, again demanded of her a ticket; that she informed the conductor he had already taken up her ticket; that the conductor denied this,…
