Appellant Meng Vang was convicted of two counts of aiding and abetting first-degree premeditated murder and two counts of aiding and abetting first-degree premeditated murder for the benefit of a gang for the shooting and resulting deaths of Tashi Jagottsang and Bunsean Lieng. See Minn.Stat. §§ 609.05, 609.185(a)(1), 609.229, subd. 2 (2008).
