The United States brought this action against Fleming upon a claim of the Commodity Credit Corporation to recover damages and forfeitures under the False Claims Act, 31 U.S.C.A. § 231 et seq. Trial was had to the court without a jury, at the conclusion of which the court found that Fleming knowingly and with intent to defraud made and presented to the Commodity Credit Corporation Ifi false, fictitious and fraudulent claims.. Judgment was accordingly entered against Fleming for double damages in the amount of $792.40 and for forfeitures, of $2,000 for each of…
