This is an appeal from an order of the General Term affirming an order of the Special Term, made on the 24th day of December, 1881, granting to special counsel retained by the attorney-general, an allowance of $3, 500 for his services and disbursements, to be paid by the receiver of the Continental Life Insurance Company, out of the fund in his hands as receiver.
