The plaintiff, as administratrix of H. W. Koon, deceased, brought this action for damages for alleged wrongful death of intestate, through negligence of defendant, in failing to provide safe appliances, while he was engaged as carpenter and bridge builder for defendant, in constructing a bridge or trestle on defendant’s railroad, in Cherokee County, in August, 1900.
