¶ 1. A jury in the DeSoto County Circuit Court convicted William Stanley Wilson II of Count I, murder, and Count II, arson in the first degree. The trial court sentenced Wilson as a habitual offender pursuant to Mississippi Code Annotated section 99-19-81 (Rev.2007) to life for the murder conviction, and to a consecutive term of twenty years for the arson conviction, all in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) without eligibility for parole or probation.
