ROBERTS, J. for the Court:
¶ 1. William C. Vinzant was convicted of the burglary of his brother’s home and the larceny of his brother’s motor vehicle. The Warren County Circuit Court sentenced him as a habitual offender to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Vinzant filed a motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOVj or, in the alternative, a new trial, which the circuit court denied.
