The first National Bank of Chariton, Iowa, as the name implies, was a national bank organized and doing business for a good many years at Chariton, Iowa, under the national banking laws of the United States. Its capital stock was $50,000, of which tí. H. Mallory, now deceased, owned at the time of his death, and for many years, had owned, $19,000; the remaining $1,000 being owned by Frank R.
