This case came before a three-judge panel of the Supreme Court on April 21, 1998, pursuant to an order directing both parties to appear and to show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not be summarily decided. The defendant, Hani M. Zaki, M.D. (Dr. Zaki), appeals from a Superior Court judgment in favor of the plaintiffs, William Shepardson (Billy), and his parents, Steven and Lisa Shepardson (parents). After hearing the arguments of counsel and reviewing the memoranda of the parties we are satisfied that cause has not been shown. Accordingly, we shall decide the issues…
