On February 12, 2014, the Plaintiff Michael J. Levantino (the “Plaintiff’) commenced this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against the Defendants New York *195State Police and three individual state troopers, Keith M. Skala, John Doe # 1, and John Doe # 2 (collectively the “Defendants”). In essence, the complaint alleged that the Defendants lacked probable cause to arrest and detain the Plaintiff for possession of marijuana; falsely imprisoned the Plaintiff; and violated his federal constitutional rights to due process and equal protection…
