Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Demarest, J.), entered June 3, 1998 in St. Lawrence County, which, inter alia, granted plaintiff custody of the parties’ child.

The parties were married in July 1991 and are the parents of a single child born in 1992. In January 1996, plaintiff commenced the instant action for divorce in which she sought an order of joint custody of the child with physical custody awarded to her.
