GEISER, Senior Judge:

A military judge, sitting as a general court-martial, convicted the appellant, contrary to his pleas, of assault consummated by a battery upon a child under 16 years, in violation of Article 128, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 928. The ap*604proved sentence was confinement for 18 months and a bad-conduct discharge.
