Martin, J.:

At the June term, 1912, of the Court of Common Pleas of Fayette county, Penn., Josiah V. Thompson, one of the defendants herein, commenced an action for divorce against Blanche A. Thompson.

The decree in that action, entered January 20, 1913, granted him a divorce and provided that the sum of $1,000,000 be paid to the said Blanche A. Thompson, upon the entry of the decree, in complete satisfaction, release and discharge of all her marital rights in the property of Josiah V. Thompson, including dower, it being provided that said sum be paid “ irrevocably in bar ” of alimony. After…
