This appeal is prosecuted to reverse a judgment of the Circuit Court of Madison county, dismissing, for want of prosecution with costs, an action on the case brought by appellant against appellees.

The record discloses that this cause was at issue and was set for trial for November 24, 1916, being on Friday. The only case allotted ahead of this one on the trial calendar was a case against the City of Alton. The latter case, being one of considerable importance, by agreement of the parties, was reallotted for trial for the following Monday. The record further discloses that after said suit…
