At all . times hereinafter mentioned the Connecticut Trust & Safe Deposit Company and the Loan & Guarantee Company of Connecticut were, and are, corporations with principal offices located at Hartford, in the state of Connecticut. They will be hereinafter referred to as the trust company and loan company, respectively. The business of the loan company was that of loaning money, principally upon the security of western farm mortgages. It carried on a large business in this state.
