The instant proceeding requires us to apply a factual record established by oral stipulation to a relatively obscure Code section in issue, a difficult combination of tasks. The Code section in issue, 11 U.S.C. § 549(b), concerns treatment of post-petition transfers made by debtors during the “gap” period between the filing of an involuntary bankruptcy petition and the entry of an order for relief.
