These are consolidated appeals from the district court for Hall County involving claims for property damage resulting from a two-vehicle accident. On November 18, 1985, Gonzalo Luevano, the driver-owner of one of the vehicles, sued Todd R. Russell, the driver of the other vehicle, in small claims court. Todd answered on December 27, 1985, and requested the case be transferred to county court. At the same time, Todd’s parents, Richard J. and Barbara J.
