HARTIGAN, Circuit Judge.
This is an appeal from a judgment of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in a case tried on the admiralty side of the court in which a petitioner-shipowner corporation sought exoneration from or limitation of liability and in which various claimant-crew members sought damages for personal injuries allegedly stemming from the unseaworthiness of petitioner’s vessel *422which sank while engaged in fishing on the Grand Banks. The petition for limitation and exoneration was denied and each of the claimants was awarded damages by the trial court…
