The libelants’ dredge Boston was being employed by them in dredging work in Boston Harbor under a government contract. On Thursday, November 29, 1900, slie was moored at a point about midway in the main ship channel of Boston Harbor, below Castle Island and above Spectacle Island, on one side of the channel, and about opposite the lower end of the Tower Middle shoal on the opposite side.
