The Town of Purcellville Police and the Virginia Municipal Group Self-Insurance .Association (collectively employer) appeal from a ruling of the Workers’ Compensation Commission (commission) awarding temporary disability benefits to former Purcellville Police Officer Martin P. Bromser-Kloeden (claimant). On appeal, employer contends the commission erroneously applied the presumption of Code § 65.2-402(B) to award claimant benefits for a form of heart disease which the commission found was caused by a virus.
