*726 This appeal arises from a premises liability/negligence action brought by Freeman Lomax ("Lomax") and his wife, Pattie Lomax (collectively, the "plaintiffs"), against The Kroger Company ("Kroger") after Lomax slipped and fell in a Kroger store. A jury found in favor of the plaintiffs and awarded damages, and the trial court entered judgment accordingly.
