This case involves the validity of a certificate of public convenience and necessity issued by the Public Service Commission to appellee under Section 8 of Chapter 142 of the Laws of 1938, which is colloquially referred to as the grandfather clause of the Mississippi Motor Carrier Regulatory Act.
