Benson v. State
Supreme Court of Arkansas
1Opinion of the Court
Betty C. Dickey, Chief Justice.
The appellant, Otha Lee stice. rape of Shetrina Lakeesha McCoy and sentenced to life in prison. He appeals: (1) challenging the sufficiency of the evidence, and (2) contending the prejudicial effect of his prior convictions outweighed their probative value. Because this is a criminal appeal in which the death penalty or life imprisonment has been imposed, jurisdiction is proper pursuant to Ark. Sup. Ct. R. l-2(a)(2).
