MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
HAIGHT, District Judge:
This much-publicized proceeding under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code was commenced by Johns-Manville Corporation (“J-M”), at the pertinent times a leading manufacturer of asbestos, and now confronted with many product liability claims. The liability of asbestos manufacturers and their insurers for asbestosis and other product-related disease has generated extensive litigation. Commercial Union Insurance Co.
