Appeal from a judgment of the superior court for King county, Humphries, J., entered March 2, 1914, upon the verdict of a jury rendered in favor of the plaintiffs, in an action for libel.

Ellis, J.-

In August, 1913, the plaintiffs were, and since October, 1912, had been, copartners operating a cafeteria known as the Epler Cafe, on Second avenue, in the city of Seattle. They commenced this action on August 29,1913, to recover damages for injuries to their business which it is claimed were caused by certain articles printed and published in The Seattle Sun, a newspaper then being published by the defendant. The first publication was on August 1, 1913, and reads as follows:
