Following a bench trial, defendant Rosbel Briseno was convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) of cannabis in violation of section 11 — 501(a)(6) of the Illinois Vehicle Code. 625 ILCS 5/11 — 501(a)(6) (West 2000). He was sentenced to two years of court supervision and a $200 fine. On appeal defendant contends as follows: (1) the trial court erred in denying defendant’s motion to suppress his statement; (2) section 11 — 501(a)(6) is unconstitutionally vague; and (3) the State failed to prove defendant guilty beyond a…
