Appeal from a judgment in favor of the State, entered January 6, 1988, upon a decision of the Court of Claims (Lyons, J.).
On the evening of October 3, 1984, decedent was driving her pickup truck southbound on State Route 144 in the Town of Bethlehem, Albany County, when she encountered a disabled vehicle parked in the southbound lane without lights and unattended. In an attempt to avoid colliding with the stationary vehicle, decedent turned into the northbound lane and applied her brakes.
