The circuit court of Madison County entered a summary judgment for the defendant, Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company, in a Federal Employer’s Liability Act (FELA) action (45 U.S.C. §51 et seq. (1982)) brought against the defendant by the plaintiff, Donald P. Carona, for injuries he allegedly sustained in a work-related accident on February 22, 1986.
