This is an appeal from a grant of summary judgment that was based upon the Frauds Act (740 ILCS 80/1 (West 2004)) (statute of frauds). We reverse and remand.

BACKGROUND

Plaintiff Brown, Udell & Pomerantz, Ltd. (BUP), is a law firm. This case arises from BUP’s claim for attorney fees incurred in representing defendant Charles Watson (Watson) in litigation at the trial and appellate levels.
