OPINION
CANTRELL, Judge.
The payee on a promissory note sued the maker in General Sessions Court for payment of the last $1,500 due on it. The court entered judgment for the payee. The maker appealed, and filed a complaint in Circuit Court which was consolidated with his appeal. The complaint alleged that the obligation on the note could not be enforced, because it represented payment on an illegal transaction.
