Vernon Royals, a boy then seventeen years of age, was indicted, tried and convicted in 1932 in the criminal court of Cook county for the murder of Agnes Lavender in 1930 and sentenced to twenty-five years’ imprisonment. By this writ of error he seeks a reversal of that judgment.

Mrs. Agnes Lavender, aged thirty-one years, of Forest Glen, was murdered some time after 6:3o P. M. on the night of February 17, 1930. Her body was found the next morning near a tree in a low place at the foot of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railroad embankment, about a quarter of a mile northwest of the Forest…
