A jury found appellant, Jimmy Howlett, guilty of criminal mischief. Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 28.03(a)(2). The trial court assessed punishment at a $500 fine and four years confinement, but suspended imposition of the sentence and placed appellant on community supervision for four years. On appeal, the conviction was reversed and the case remanded for a new trial. Howlett v. State, 946 S.W.2d 870 (Tex.App.-Eastland 1997).
