The parties to this suit are corporations organized under the laws of this State and competitors in the manufacture and sale of belt lacing *400machines and metallic staples or hooks, also called lacers, for lacing belts. Plaintiff has its principal office and place of business in the city of Grand Rapids and defendant in Detroit, Michigan.
