This case presents some very interesting questions about some extremely common but rather sticky issues upon which there has not been a great deal written, to wit: to what extent must an unrepresented litigant in Small Claims Court prove his or her damages in order to recover a judgment? Procedurally, what should the court do if the unrepresented litigant *13does not prove his damages? How much assistance should the court provide?
