FIELD, Circuit Justice.
The plaintiff is a corporation created under the laws of Great Britain. The defendant is a corporation formed under the laws of California. This action is brought to recover the sum of six thousand three hundred fifty-one dollars and seventy-two cents, alleged to be due from the defendant to the plaintiff, with interest from June 21,1S77. It was commenced in a district court of the state, and. on petition of the defendant, was removed to the circuit court of the United States.
