On December 22, 1939, the Georgia-Carolina Investment Company brought suit against O. B. Feagin, alleging, that the defendant was indebted to it in the sum of $1350, with interest from July 21, 1927; that the plaintiff is the holder and owner of a series of notes of $25 each, payable to the plaintiff, executed by the defendant and numbered consecutively from 43 to 96; that note number 43 matured on March 1, 1931; that the remainder of such notes matured monthly seriatim thereafter until all of the notes are now past due and unpaid, and that the defendant had refused to pay these notes.
