Defendant appeals from a jury verdict awarding damages to plaintiff. Plaintiff claimed that his termination from defendant’s employ was wrongful and in breach of the employment contract.
At trial, plaintiff testified that at the time he was hired a person in defendant’s personnel department stated that plaintiff would remain employed until retirement at age 65, unless discharged for cause. Numerous exhibits were placed in evidence, two of which were defendant’s employee’s guidelines manual and a supervisor’s manual.
