Defendant was charged by bill of information with conspiracy to manufacture a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Methamphetamine, with intent to distribute in violation of La. R.S. 14:26 and La. R.S. 40:967(A)(1).1 Subsequently, in open court, the assistant district attorney orally moved to amend the bill to a charge of Manufacture and Production of Methamphetamine in violation of La.
