The Farmers’ & Shippers’ Leaf Tobacco Warehouse Com*452pany, a corporation formed and existing under the laws of the State of Ohio, and having its principal office and place of business in the City of Cincinnati, Ohio, on the 29th day of May, 1899, instituted its civil action before J. C. Rusk, a Justice in and for the county of Lincoln, in Carroll District thereof, against James Pridemore, for the recovery of the amount due on two contracts in writing, to-wit: one a promissory note of said Pridemore to said Company, bearing date on the 26th day of March, 1896, for $30.00, payable…
