Green asked the plaintiffs to honor his sight draft upon them “ against 200 bales of cotton for Liverpool, as per documents enclosed,” among which was Green’s letter of instructions to the defendants, the factors of Green, who were in possession of his 150 bales of cotton, having a lien thereon for their advances to him, and their compliance with his instructions was necessary to give the plaintiffs the security upon the 150 bales.
