PLATT, District Judge.

Karen Maritime Limited [“Karen”] petitions the Court to confirm a foreign ar- bitral award against Respondent Omar International Incorporated [“Omar”]. Petitioner seeks this relief pursuant to the 1958 Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards [“the Convention”], 21 U.S.T. 2517, codified at 9 U.S.C. §§ 1-16 and 201-08. Respondent argues that confirmation of the award would violate the public policies of the United States — opposition to the Arab boycott of Israel, as expressed in 50 U.S.C.App. § 2407, as well as federal…
