| rThis is a criminal appeal arising from defendant’s conviction for simple burglary. *245Defendant contests the trial court’s refusal to include a special jury instruction. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.

PROCEDURAL HISTORY

The Orleans Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant, Nathan L. Thomas, with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. The defendant pled not guilty at arraignment.
