This is an action instituted by respondent to recover damages for the death of her husband Louis Snyder on February 10, 1917, in defendant's factory in St. Louis County, while in its service and engaged in his work in connection therewith. The cause was tried upon a second amended petition and defendant's general denial thereto, at the April term of the Circuit Court for the City of St. Louis and resulted in a verdict and judgment for the plaintiff in the sum of $8000.
