Pam Baysinger, the appellee, filed an action against Wal-Mart, Appellee’s former employer, alleging that Wal-Mart terminated her for prosecuting a claim for injuries under the Workers’ Compensation Act, in violation of public policy and statute. The complaint also alleged that Wal-Mart was liable for the tort of outrage. The case came to trial before a jury in Benton County Circuit Court on February 15, 1990.
