OPINION

{¶ 1} The instant appeal challenges the trial court's decision to grant summary judgment to Appellee Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. in a case involving underinsured motorists coverage (UIM). Appellant William C. Boila was injured in a car accident while riding as a passenger in a vehicle owned and operated by his mother, Barbara Nunez. Appellant's medical bills were paid by Medicare, resulting in an automatic $42,139.78 federal statutory lien.
