Plaintiff, the City of Chicago, appeals from an order of the circuit court which modified, sua sponte, a judgment entered against defendant, Raymond Heinrich, more than 30 days earlier despite plaintiff’s objections. Defendant, as appellee, has not filed a brief but we shall consider the merits of plaintiff’s claim. First Capitol Mortgage Corp. v. Talandis Construction Corp. (1976), 63 Ill. 2d 128, 345 N.E.2d 493.
