On the 29th of March last, a member of the bar of this court, then in session, addressed a communication to one of its judges, calling his attention to an article in a newspaper, styled the Des Abo Citizen-, issued on the 24th of that month, purporting to be published by the defendant, reflecting upon a decision made by this court, during that term, apparently impugning its motives, and attributing the decision to extraneous influences.
