The defendant had been in possession for. more than twenty years prior to the commencement of the action of a right-angled triangular piece of land of about nine and one-half acres, with its base to the north and with the longer side to the east, where it was separated by a highway from lands owned by plaintiff. The plaintiff also owned the land adjoining defendant to the north and west. All the lands were in section 31, town 21 north, range 9 east.
