On January 11, 1985, in the circuit court of Woodford County, plaintiffs Feme and Raymond Kilpatrick filed a personal injury complaint against defendant First Church of the Nazarene. On February 24, 1987, after six days of trial and upon completion of the evidentiary phase of the proceeding, the court granted defendant’s motion for a mistrial based on the conduct of plaintiffs’ counsel, James Walker.
